Old Jeremiah was a wino, who lived from day to day. Still minding his own business, on the day he passed away. They found him by the pigsty, with a grin upon his face and the good-bookin his hands as if to say I'm trading places! Out there,in open spaces, by St. Peter's gate. Best not be too late! Drink to me and my soul, then dig me a hole where I can rest my bones. Find a young priest with a sharp, witty speech about this man who had it all. Last, but not least, why not put up a feast with nobility and the best whores in town? Make it a Ball, well remebered by all. All falls into place, as a choir sings my praise. He's going places, John Jeremiah Sheen, with fields of gold and valleys ever-green. And just round midnight, the seas turn into wine. Old Jeremiah must be in his prime. He's trading places, somewhere in open spaces. One day, when I'm dead, the old wino said Drink to me and my soul, then dig me a hole where I can lay my head. Find me a priest with a cunning, good speach about the man who had it all. Last, but not least, have a headlining feast with celebrities and the bums from downtown. Invite one and all to my Bohemian-Ball. Sing me my praise, then salute me His honor and grace!

P & C 05:32
Thirteen Tequilas, joined with a bottle of red. No doubt! Best rush I'd ever had. Woke up next morning, managed to crawl out of bed, bulldozers truckin' through my head. I made a clear decision. Behold! A man, with a mission to build a wall-defencive, between pleasure and consequences. To my anger, frustration, my plan came out of control. Chaos within my clear-zone. Good-bye ambition! Farewell to arms, as they say. Let's greet a new day Free of my ex-decision. Somehow I got lost on my mission, to build a wall-defencive between pleasure and consequences. Might have to face the sequela,- less red wine, cut the Tequila. These things you know can kill ya' Sex, drugs and all that rocka rolla. A reborn man, new vision. Survived my life's collision. Health-food, gone stone-cold sober. My stray-cat era is over. I've made a clear decision. Again,- I'm a man with a mission Tear down all wall-defencive betweeen pleasure and consequences.

A woman of the world, you say you wanna be. Well, I see her everyday. She is beautiful and she lives with me. You're still my number one in every way. I'm up here in the attic. Found this gem from the past. It's the fairy-tale we wrote, - that time. About a better world where dreams would come true and love is blind. You don't have to be a star, - to shine. Magic words straight from your heart What a perfect opening line. A table, set for two. White cloth, red roses too. Just the way it used to be. You're still beautiful, you shouldn't act surprised. Here's to both of us and years gone by. Let's stay here in the attic, Reminiscing awhile... You don't have to be a star to shine We may not have a lot, - I know but at least it's yours and mine. You don't have to travel far and wide, to be the woman of the world. I am here and I'm your guide. You don't have to be a star, - to shine. You're still my gorgeous, shining pearl And I'm proud to say You're mine. You don't have to be a star to shine. You are my woman of the world and the brightest star that shines.

Stolen moments, you say you can't recall. Impassioned words you don't remember. Promises we swore to hold. You should and I would If I could have been more than your lover. You captured me in your web. Ooh, my lover. Touched by an angel, then struck down. Low down in misery, but I play the clown. No one sees my tears of sorrow,- hears my broken heart. I pretend I just walked away from this. Thought I had found my place. Behind me, the dregs of yesterday. Spring of hope, summer of love, sweet autumn rain. Then winter darkness again. Behind black curtains my silence rules. Disturbed only by the thought of you. I'm under a spell only you can break. Oh, would you? Please, could you? I'll play your game,- play by your rules. Don't need to be more than your lover. You know I'll find a way to survive and recover. Touched by an angel then struck down. Life is a misery this time around. And I feel so lost and lonely, here in my empty home. There is no way to run away from this. Touched by an angel, then struck down. A man without a mission, - nowhere bound. Come back and love me! Lay your curse on me... cause I don't want to walk away from this.

The Hedonist 22:58
I am a man of emotions. But, when it comes to devotion, I sell my soul in low places,- reach the top with the aces. I like to view things from a different angle, with pope and piper, - lunch-hour strippers. Or, dark-alley junkies. Life´s here and now there´ll be no sequel. Enjoy it while you can. To those who claim all men are equal, I say Think again! We find joy, we feel sorrow. No one knows what waits beyond tomorrow. The rich get richer, the poor stay poor. Only two ways down that corridor. Here in the Street of dreams, you'll find no in-betweens. It's a dead-end or the Wheel of fortune Spin it around! Make it go round! You might get luckySpin it around! Around again it's turning! Yes, it´s a world of confusion, - corruption, caused by dissolution. But who am I to talk? I've turned some pages. A man of so many stages. Life´s here and now, there´ll be no sequel. Enjoy it while you can. Ain´t saying all men should be equal. That's never been the plan. There is joy, there is sorrow. No one knows what waits beyond tomorrow. In the lap of luxury rests a homeless child in agony. I know, - I know I can make a difference, - every vote counts! Ain't that what you're saying? I know you only want what's best for me But, I don't wanna go the the distance. I can't be a part of this. I'm not your man. Remember, I'm a headonist I stick to my plan Joie de vivre! There is nothing you can say, to make me go soft, changing my way. Let it go! Let it be! My path is chosen, - if not flawless, at least pre-paid. Go save the world, but without me I'm afraid. My mind mirrors the secrets of it's past. Promises only made, never to last. I can't change, I can't sail to your shore. It's too late, I'm not that man anymore. Let it go! Let it be! My path is chosen - it's not flawless, but it's straight. Though your words soothe me - time is running late. Your honesty moves me - but, don't make me hesitate. Your beauty surrounds me am I losing my faith. When you look into the abyss, the abyss also looks into you! (Nietzsche) I know, - I've been there. Looked the truth right in the eye, saw the writing on the wall Beware of the devil's trumpet When you look into the abyss, the abyss also looks into you! In my nightmares, I see this deep, dark hole in me, where my conscience used to be. Are you still here? I'm ready, help me rise out of the abyss, into your Paradise. Guide my journey safely to your shore. This wayward traveller wants to pay his score Please, leave an open door. We find joy, we find sorrow. No one knows what waits beyond tomorrow. In the lap of luxury, rests a homeless child in agony. It's a world of confusion. There's corruption, there is dissolution. We are facing grim reality Destruction or eternity. Here in the Street of dreams You'll find no in betweens. It's a dead-end or the Wheel of fortune
