I am a man of emotions.
But, when it comes to devotion,
I sell my soul in low places,-
reach the top with the aces.
I like to view things from a different angle,
with pope and piper, - lunch-hour strippers.
Or, dark-alley junkies.
Life´s here and now there´ll be no sequel.
Enjoy it while you can.
To those who claim all men are equal,
I say Think again!
We find joy, we feel sorrow.
No one knows what waits beyond tomorrow.
The rich get richer, the poor stay poor.
Only two ways down that corridor.
Here in the Street of dreams,
you'll find no in-betweens.
It's a dead-end or the Wheel of fortune
Spin it around! Make it go round!
You might get luckySpin it around!
Around again it's turning!
Yes, it´s a world of confusion, -
corruption, caused by dissolution.
But who am I to talk? I've turned some pages.
A man of so many stages.
Life´s here and now, there´ll be no sequel.
Enjoy it while you can.
Ain´t saying all men should be equal.
That's never been the plan.
There is joy, there is sorrow.
No one knows what waits beyond tomorrow.
In the lap of luxury
rests a homeless child in agony.
I know, - I know
I can make a difference, - every vote counts!
Ain't that what you're saying?
I know you only want what's best for me
But, I don't wanna go the the distance.
I can't be a part of this. I'm not your man.
Remember, I'm a headonist I stick to my plan
Joie de vivre!
There is nothing you can say,
to make me go soft, changing my way.
Let it go! Let it be!
My path is chosen,
- if not flawless, at least pre-paid.
Go save the world,
but without me I'm afraid.
My mind mirrors the secrets of it's past.
Promises only made, never to last.
I can't change, I can't sail to your shore.
It's too late, I'm not that man anymore.
Let it go! Let it be!
My path is chosen - it's not flawless,
but it's straight.
Though your words soothe me - time is running late.
Your honesty moves me - but, don't make me hesitate.
Your beauty surrounds me am I losing my faith.
When you look into the abyss,
the abyss also looks into you! (Nietzsche)
I know, - I've been there.
Looked the truth right in the eye,
saw the writing on the wall
Beware of the devil's trumpet
When you look into the abyss,
the abyss also looks into you!
In my nightmares, I see
this deep, dark hole in me,
where my conscience used to be.
Are you still here? I'm ready, help me rise
out of the abyss, into your Paradise.
Guide my journey safely to your shore.
This wayward traveller wants to pay his score
Please, leave an open door.
We find joy, we find sorrow.
No one knows what waits
beyond tomorrow.
In the lap of luxury,
rests a homeless child in agony.
It's a world of confusion.
There's corruption,
there is dissolution.
We are facing grim reality
Destruction or eternity.

What can I say about Big Big Train that I haven’t said before?
This album took a little while to grow on me but by the time I saw it live I was in love with its humongous, over-egged pomposity! They do it all with such passion, excitement and amazing musicianship.

This might be the least folky of the Wobbler releases and I wasn't sure about it at all.
After a few listens however I'm loving the inventiveness and the endless melodies, all driven along by Kristian Hultgren's wonderful percussive bass. PartTimeZombie
The album takes off nicely with David Longdon's "The Strangest Times", but then gets into immediate free fall and deeply underwater for the next few tracks, quite unexpectedly. Fortunately, it recovers with Nick D'Virgilio's "Apollo" (hey, this guy CAN write good music, although he hides this ability most of the time) and the remaining three tracks, one of which is another Longdon masterpiece. So in the end the final impression is somewhat in the positive range. Sven B. Schreiber (sbs)

The Long Island metal band's third album etches arena-sized hooks into their jagged compositions, deftly balancing experimental and poppy inclinations. Bandcamp Album of the Day May 12, 2022
Fell in love with BBT recently, absolutely love the stories they tell and the music.
Very sad to hear about David’s passing, listening now is quite moving, moved to tears from time to time, but we move on as I hope BBT will with David in our hearts. tonyauroristony58
